Exploring Brunei: A Surprising Adventure in Southeast Asia

Brunei might not have been on my travel bucket list, but when the opportunity to visit this unique Southeast Asian country came, I couldn’t pass it up. Located on the northern coast of Borneo, Brunei is known for its wealth, rich cultural heritage, and serene natural landscapes. Despite being less frequented by tourists, surprisingly this country offers a unique blend of modernity and tradition, making it a destination worth exploring.

Seasons in Brunei
Brunei experiences a tropical rainforest climate, with warm and humid weather throughout the year. The country doesn’t have distinct seasons like summer or winter, but it does have a dry season from March to October and a wet season from November to February. Even during the wet season, rain showers are often brief, so it doesn’t significantly impact travel plans.

Timezone in Brunei
Brunei operates on Brunei Darussalam Time (BNT), which is UTC +8 hours. This timezone is the same as the Philippines, so there’s no need to worry about jet lag if you’re traveling from there.
